To make a crochet treble stitch (also called a triple crochet in the U.S.), follow these steps:
Materials:
- Yarn
- Crochet hook
Steps:
- Yarn Over Twice: Wrap the yarn around the hook two times. You should now have three loops on your hook.
- Insert the Hook: Insert the hook into the stitch or space where you want to make the treble crochet.
- Yarn Over: Wrap the yarn over the hook once more, then pull through the stitch. Now you should have four loops on your hook.
- Pull Through Two Loops: Yarn over again, and pull through the first two loops on your hook. You should now have three loops left on the hook.
- Pull Through Two Loops Again: Yarn over, pull through the next two loops. Now you have two loops left on the hook.
- Pull Through the Last Two Loops: Yarn over one more time and pull through the final two loops on your hook. You’ve now completed one treble crochet!
Repeat:
- Repeat this process to create more treble crochet stitches.
