How to make a pompom

Although you can buy different types of pompoms, sometimes is better to make your own with the same yarn you used to make your beanie or whatever project you are working on, plus it is a fun craft to make and even teach to the little ones!

How to make a magic circle

The magic circle technique it's usually the best way to start a round project. Unlike the classic way to start with a circle of chains, the magic circle will perfectly adjust to the number of stitches you make, no matter how many or what type of stitch you are making.

Here's a video tutorial:

What does it mean to crochet into the space

Sometimes a pattern will tell you to work a stitch"into the space" or "into the chain space", in this case instead of inserting the hook in the chain or stitch you have to insert it in the space under the chain or stitch.

Watch the video bellow to see a demonstration.

How to change colors in the round

The video bellow will show you how to change colors when working in the round.
If you are going to use that same color again don't cut the yarn that goes to the ball, just leave it on the inside of the work and pick it up again when you need it.

How to crochet in between stitches

Crochet in between stitches is an alternative to crocheting through both loops, BLO, or FLO. To crochet between stitches you must insert the hook in the space between 2 stitches instead of at the top of each stitch.

✿ This technique is used in the Desert flower hat pattern
