YARN: Worsted Weight Acrylic yarn in black, white and red.
YARDAGE / GRAMS: Less than 125 yards / 50 grams of each color.
HOOKS: 5.00 mm (H) crochet hook.
OTHER: Yarn needle or sewing needle and black thread.
GAUGE: 14 hdc and 14 rows= 4 inches (10 cm)
SIZING: (check instructions for adjustments on the next page).

Before to start:
· If you need it larger or smaller simply add or subtract the same number of sts on every row.

Used stitches and abbreviations (American terms):
ch: chain 
st: stitch 
sl st: slip stitch 
sc: single crochet
hdc: double crochet

PATTERN

KIDS (5 to 12 years)

- Join all the rounds with the first st with a sl st and continue in the same direction. The first stitch should always be in the same stitch as the join from the previous round. –

Loosely chain 21, sl st on the first st to form a ring.

Rnd 1: ch 1, hdc in each st until the end of the row. (21 sts)

Rnd 2 to 6: Repeat ROW 1. (21 sts) Change to black.

Rnd 7: ch 1, 2 hdc in the first st, hdc in each st around. (22 sts)

Rnd 8: ch 1, hdc in each st around. (22 sts) Change to red.

Rnd 9: ch1, 2 hdc in the first st, hdc in the next 2 st, 2 hdc in the next st, hdc in each st around. (24 sts)

Rnd 10: ch 1, hdc in each st around. (24 sts)

Rnd 11: ch 1, 2 hdc in the first st, hdc in the next 4 sts, 2 hdc in the next st, hdc in each st around. (26 sts)

Rnd 12: ch 1, hdc in the first st, skip 6 sts, hdc in the next st, hdc in each st around. (20 sts)

Rnd 13 & 14: ch 1, hdc in each st around. (20 sts)

Finish off.

BUTTON

With the white yarn make a magic ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc into the ring, ch 2 –count as a dc-, 11 dc into the ring, close the ring, with the black yarn sl st in the first dc. Turn.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around, sl st in the first st.

Finish off. Repeat to make the second one.

Sew the buttons to the mitts. Remember to leave the thumb to the right of the button in one of the mitts and to the left on the other one.



WOMAN

- Join all the rounds with the first st with a sl st and continue in the same direction. The first stitch should always be in the same stitch as the join from the previous round. –

Loosely chain 25, sl st on the first st to form a ring.

Rnd 1: ch 1, hdc in each st until the end of the row. (25 sts)

Rnd 2 to 6: Repeat ROW 1. (25 sts)

Rnd 7: ch 1, 2 hdc in the first st, hdc in each st around. (26 sts)

Rnd 8: ch 1, hdc in each st around. (26 sts) Change to black.

Rnd 9: ch1, 2 hdc in the first st, hdc in the next 2 st, 2 hdc in the next st, hdc in each st around. (28 sts)

Rnd 10: ch 1, hdc in each st around. (28 sts) Change to red.

Rnd 11: ch 1, 2 hdc in the first st, hdc in the next 4 sts, 2 hdc in the next st, hdc in each st around. (30 sts)

Rnd 12: ch 1, hdc in each st around. (30 sts)

Rnd 13: ch 1, 2 hdc in the first st, hdc in the next 7 sts, 2 hdc in the next st, hdc in each st around. (32 sts)

Rnd 14: ch 1, hdc in the first st, skip 9 sts, hdc in the next st, hdc in each st around. (23 sts)

Rnd 15-18: ch1, hdc around in each st around. (23 sts)

Finish off.

BUTTON

With the white yarn make a magic ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc into the ring, ch 2 –count as a dc-, 11 dc into the ring, close the ring, with the black yarn sl st in the first dc. Turn.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around, sl st in the first st.

Rnd 7: ch 1, 2 hdc in the first st, hdc in each st around. (30 sts)

Rnd 8: ch 1, hdc in each st around. (30 sts)

Rnd 9: ch1, 2 hdc in the first st, hdc in the next 2 st, 2 hdc in the next st, hdc in each st around. (32 sts) Change to black.

Rnd 10: ch 1, hdc in each st around. (32 sts)

Rnd 11: ch 1, 2 hdc in the first st, hdc in the next 4 sts, 2 hdc in the next st, hdc in each st around. (34 sts) Change to red.

Rnd 12: ch 1, hdc in each st around. (34 sts)

Rnd 13: ch 1, 2 hdc in the first st, hdc in the next 7 sts, 2 hdc in the next st, hdc in each st around. (36 sts)

Rnd 14: ch 1, 2 hdc in the first st, hdc in the next 9 sts, 2 hdc in the next st, hdc in each st around. (38 sts)

Rnd 15-20: ch1, hdc in each st around. (38 sts)

Finish off.
