FREE PATTERN: Andrea scarf _ C01

 

Try this fun crochet pattern to make a 2 color scarf with fringes and small pompoms. It is affordable for beginners and can be made with a thicker yarn if you don´t like to crochet with thin yarn and prefer a thicker scarf.

-✿ Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, double crochet.

Materials:
- Crochet thread size 5, 100% cotton_ 100g of color A & 100g of color B (I recommend this yarn

 - Crochet hooks size 2.5 mm (2)

Before to start:
This scarf can be made in any combination of colors. You can use 2 or more different colors, but to explain the pattern we’re going to call the darkest color used in the pictures color A; and the lightest color B.

Used stitches and abbreviations:
ch: chain st: stitch sl st: slip stitch dc: double crochet

PATTERN
With color A make a 19 sts chain.
ROW 1: 3 dc in the 5th ch from the hook, sl st in the same ch. Ch 15, sl st in the starter chain. Ch 62.

ROW 2: 3 dc in the 5th ch from the hook, sl st in the same ch, ch 15. Skip 15 ch (for the fringe) and work a dc in the next ch, [ch 1, skip 1 ch st, dc in the next st] repeat 21 times.

ROW 3: Ch 19. 3 dc in the 5th ch from the hook, sl st in the same ch, ch 15. Skip 15 ch (for the fringe) and work a dc in the next ch, [ch 1, skip 1 st, dc in the next st] repeat 21 times.
ROW 4: Change to color B and repeat row 3 (How to change color).

ROW 5: Repeat row 3.
ROW 6: Change to color B and repeat row 3.
ROW 7: Repeat row 3.
ROW 8: Continue changing colors every 2 rows and repeating row 3 until get the desired length.

(the scarf in the pictures has 177 rows).
Last Row: Ch 19. 3 dc in the 5th ch from the hook, sl st in the same ch, ch 15, sl st in the last ch before the next dc.

Finish off and hide the tail.
